How can I hang my hammock?

Hammocks can be hung from walls, columns, ceilings, beams, trees and strong supports that have a minimum load capacity of 120 KG.

How do I clean my hammock?

When you want to wash your hammock, you need to be very careful. You should put it to soak in a container large enough and deep enough for your hammock to soak for a while. You should leave the arms and loops out, and do not use bleach or cloth softener. Once you feel that your hammock has released the dust or stains, remove it and stretch it to dry in the sun and use it as usual. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

How do I place the Yucatecan hamaqueros?

For the placement of the typical yucatecan hamaqueros that go embedded in the wall, it is necessary to request help from a person skilled in construction for a good placement and obtain the appropriate advice, since the hamaquero must be anchored to the construction beams. This supports are ideal if you are remodeling your home or building it from start.

Do you sell the hooks to hang the hammocks?

To hang your hammock, we recommend to use carabiners. We recommend the largest measurement ensuring that the hammock rings fit well. Each harness supports up to 250 kg. Visit our accessories section where you can buy a kit.

Can I customize my hammock?

Yes, all our hammocks can be customized with the colors that we have in existence. Every special order needs to be liquidated 100% and takes about 45 to 60 days to be ready. Write us to sales@makamah.mx to personally attend your request.

What if the color I'm looking for my hammock is not shown in the products page?

What kind of payments do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Paypal. And if you live in México, you can pay with cash in Oxxo and banks.

Can you send me my hammock?

We want to give relax around the world, because, who doesn´t love hammocks? We offer shipping for México, USA and Canada at this time. We invite you to read our shipping policies. And please feel free to contact us at sales@makamah.mx if you live in a different country and want to have one of our products. We will gladly attend your request.

*All products containing wood in its structure, can only be shipped within México at this time. For international shipments and special requests, please write to  us at sales@makamah.mx

How much does shipping cost?

National deliveries

At the moment of your purchase you can pick the option that better suits about the cost and days it will take your product to arrive. For deliveries on the next business day you need to make your purchase before 2 pm (M-F)

International deliveries

If you live in the US or Canada, international shipping for hammocks costs a flat $40 USD. Please note that we can only ship hammock chairs, Makachairs and benches within the México at this time.

How long will it take for my items to arrive?

For national delivery, it will depend of the option you choose at the moment your purchase in the check out page. International orders typically take 5-10 days to arrive. (Please note that customers are responsible for any duties/customs fees). For national and international returns/exchanges, the shipping costs must be covered by the customer. Please note that we can only ship hammock chairs, Makachairs and benches within the México at this time.

 

Returns + Exchanges

We offer returns but, our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since you recieve your product, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

*Please note that the shipping costs for returns/exchanges must be covered by the customer.

Important Note: Do not ship your Hammock back before receiving a confirmation note + official shipping information from our team.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Additional non-returnable items:

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If upon inspection the items are deemed in unsalable condition or have been used or altered in any way, your refund or exchange credit will be subject to approval. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. Please note that custom hammock orders are final.


Late or missing refunds (if applicable) 

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at info@makamah.mx

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged from origin. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@makamah.mx.
